In October 2002 at BAC, over one week, Guy Dartnell for the first time presented a retrospective of his solo Trilogy of work exploring voice, movement and identity: Bottle, Would Say Something and Unsung (aka Consuming Songs). Guy developed the works over a period of six years, beginning with Bottle in 1995, the Time Out Live Award winning Would Say Something in 1998, premiering the concluding chapter, Unsung as part of BAC's A Sharp Intake of Music festival in May 2001. "Dartnell's unabashed inventiveness marks him as a performer who in future will need little talking up", Dominic Cavendish, The Independent |
